Can you imagine a line of horses, ponies, wagons, carriages, and even cowgirls and marching bands coming down the street? You can see it for yourself live and in person on the streets of Delaware, Ohio every year on the Sunday immediately preceding the opening of the Delaware County Fair. Bring your lawn chairs, friends and neighbors, and enjoy yourself at one of the largest annual horse parade gatherings east of the Mississippi! The parade steps off each year promptly at 3pm from the main gate of the Delaware County Fairgrounds onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The parade is circular in direction and returns to the fairgrounds. Parade admission is always free! This event starts the beginning of the Delaware County Fair which starts this year on September 14. The All Horse Parade exits the fairgrounds main gate onto Pennsylvania Ave. and turns left (east) to N. Sandusky St. Turn right (south) onto N. Sandusky St. Proceed to W. Winter St. and turn right (west) to N. Liberty St. Turn right (north) onto N. Liberty St. Proceed to Lincoln Ave. and turn left (west). Turn right (north) onto Euclid Ave. Proceed north on Euclid Ave. and return to the fairgrounds through the Euclid Ave. gate. Parade route is approximately 3 miles in length.
