JULY 4

  • Ashville: Ashville’s July 4 events kick off with a parade at 11 A.M., A musical performance by Tracy Roese and the Third Fret at 8 P.M. And a fireworks show at 10 P.M.
  • Bexley: a handful of activities are planned in Bexley to celebrate Independence Day. It begins with a 5k run/walk at 8 A.M., Followed by a parade starting at 9:30 A.M. And finishing with evening celebrations and fireworks at Capital University’s Main Street lawn from 6 P.M. To 11 P.M.]
  • Delaware: 11am July 4th parade from the fairgrounds main gate. 10pm fireworks viewing from Ohio Wesleyan stadium.
  • Dublin: an Independence Day parade will travel through downtown Dublin around 11 A.M. Later on at 10 P.M., A fireworks show will round out the night at Dublin Coffman High School.
  • Grove City: residents in Grove City can watch their fireworks show at 9:45 P.M. The fireworks will be launched from Murfin Fields.
  • Hilliard: there will be live music, food trucks, rides, games and a fireworks show at Hilliard’s Freedom Fest this year. The event kicks off at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Hilliard Municipal Park from 5-11 P.M.
  • Lancaster: a parade will go down north Columbus Street and head to north Broad Street at 10 A.M. Then, later that night, fireworks kick off at 10 P.M.
  • Marion: fireworks will be launched in Marion at 10 P.M. from the fairgrounds.
  • Mt Vernon: Ariel Foundation Park will host the Mt Vernon Fourth of July celebration again this year with food venders and concerts starting at 5pm, and fireworks at 10pm. For more info check arielfoundationpark.Org
  • Marysville: 4th of July fireworks at the Union County Fairgrounds
  • New Albany: a parade will start the morning off at 11 A.M. Then, a festival with food trucks and activities commences at 6 P.M. At New Albany Middle School before fireworks are launched at 10 P.M. The rain date is July 5.
  • Plain City: the annual parade will begin at 10 A.M. At the Pastime Park. There will also be plenty of fun and games for families to enjoy leading up to the fireworks show at 9:45 P.M.
  • Sunbury: an Independence Day celebration will be held at Sunbury Square from 8 A.M. To 2 P.M. Parade at 10am.  Fireworks @ Big Walnut Middle School, food trucks at 6pm.  Fireworks at dusk. 
  • Upper Arlington: a parade will kick off at 9 A.M., Traveling down Northwest Boulevard. Several roads will be closed before, during and after the parade, so be sure to plan ahead. Then, the city will hold a party in the park where residents will be able to watch the fireworks show at 10 P.M.
  • Westerville: a parade will begin in uptown Westerville at 10:30 A.M. And head to Electric Avenue. There will be food trucks, a concert series and games at the Sports Complex beginning at 5 AM. Until fireworks begin at 10 P.M.
  • Worthington: this year’s fireworks show will start at 10 P.M. Spectators are urged to walk or bike to the event as parking at Thomas Worthington High School will be limited. Gates open at 9 P.M.

JULY 3

  • Columbus: Columbus’ annual Red, White & BOOM! will be held downtown on July 3. The event features a parade, musical entertainment, food stands and more.
  • Gahanna: The Independence Day celebration with fireworks in Gahanna will take place on July 3 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course.
  • Groveport: Groveport will hold its fireworks show on July 3 at dusk. On Independence Day, there will be a celebration parade starting at 11 a.m. starting at the Groveport Rec Center. A kids parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Main Street.
  • Pickerington: Pickerington will hold its fireworks show on July 3 at 9:30 p.m. and have a parade the next day on July 4 at 10 a.m. downtown.
  • Reynoldsburg: The city of Reynoldsburg will have fireworks and fun at Civic Park from 6-10 p.m.

After the 4th

JULY 5

  • Johnstown: Johnstown will hold its annual celebration at the Frank H. Chambers Stadium from 5-11 p.m.

JULY 6

  • Galion: Fireworks will be launched from Heise Park at dusk.
  • Lakeview: Indian Lake will hold its Light Up the Lake event on July 6 with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
