This week on Peace of Mind Angi Lee and Kyle Lewis open a conversation about CIT. 

CIT stands for Crisis Intervention Team, according to NAMI, the goal of CIT is to see that people with mental health or drug addiction issues receive treatment rather than punishment whenever safely possible and avoid unnecessary force by first responders.

Here in Delaware and Morrow counties, the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board reports 446 law enforcement officers have been through the course, with maxed-out classes continuing in October and November.
